This is for those who don’t believe in GOD.  After I wrote the first comment late in the afternoon about my birthday coming I happened to glance up on my office wall.  I have a lot of pictures on my office wall.  Pictures that are of me, friends and lots of airplanes.  I happen to have a picture from my last unit of me and my young Maintenance Officer, Max, standing side by side which was taken at an official unit function.  I have it stuffed in a corner above the door and just below the ceiling.  I cannot begin to tell you how many hours I have spent in my office looking up at that corner and seeing nothing out of the ordinary.  Not so on that day!  I glanced up, as I stated earlier, and there was a sunlight reflection on the picture.  It was being reflected off of something like a CD disk or something else shinny.  I could not tell you the source even after glancing around the office from my chair for several minutes.  The sun was coming in through the two windows behind me and it found whatever object it was and then reflected to that picture.  I was amazed.  It hit the picture in a small 3 by 2 inch oval shape.  Like a spotlight it was shinning on my face alone.  Not on Max, not on both of us, and not on anything else but just me.  It instantly occurred to me that the LORD was making his light to shine upon my face on my birthday.  His way of saying I love you and happy birthday.  Granted it can easily be dismissed as just a happenstance but to me it was a special gift.  I have never seen that light again on my wall and I had never seen it before.  It was just visible on that one day, my birthday.  A special gift from GOD!  You gotta believe!

I must admit that I have finally come to another one of those days.  You know, the day you think will never come when you are a kid and the day you hope will never come when you get much older.  Actually, I don’t mind my birthday coming but it seems to be happening much faster than when I was young.  This year was one that I could have done without because of family issues.  However, having said all that, I am still happy to see it come.  I reflect today on what makes it special to me.  I reflect on the fact that I would have never been here to celebrate except for some divine intervention on GOD’s part.  Yes I believe in GOD.  I am mystified every time I think of extremely intelligent people who believe that for “some unknown piece of chance or unknown event” life magically formed.  When you think of all the necessary things that must occur at exactly the precise time and in the right sequence and in the exact quantity; how can you not know GOD exist?  For example the orbit of earth.  Just a little closer to the sun or a little further away and we would be baking on the beach or freezing to death in the Antarctic.  Can you really think that the Earth formed in just the right position without a little help?  That is all I need to tell me there is someone in charge and that he loves me enough to put me here and let me celebrate my birthday.  So for that I am happy to see another one come and go.  Farb

I don’t know about you but it makes my blood boil when I see stuff like this.  I received this in an email recently.  I cannot verify its timing, i.e., is the national anthem actually being played or is it about to be played, but it is highly suspicious.  I think anyone who won’t put his hand to his/her heart when our Anthem is played should find living accommodations elsewhere.  Even Senator Clinton, who had trouble years ago with using the wrong hand in public, finally got it right.  I think that this should be made public and I wonder why the national press did not pick up on this?  Oh yeah, I forgot they don’t like picking on their liberal buddies.
